Our Day in Colonial Williamsburg

We enjoyed such a wonderful day in Colonial Williamsburg! The girls dressed up and enjoyed lots of special treatment, in the way of work (which they did happily, like good colonial children), and many compliments. The weather was beautiful and the town was so lovely and quaint. We participated in a variety of colonial activities, and ended the day with an entertaining and funny show.

Firestar and I learned how to spin wool into yarn!

We listened to President George Washington give a speech.

Sparrow does chores with a smile! Wow!

The girls are put to work drawing water for the garden.

We attended a museum program on the events leading up to the Declaration of Independence, and got to see some really cool artifacts on the topic. Then the girls got to make Thomas Jefferson bookmarks.
